Simple "Caldereta"
My wife and i get hooked watching "Idol sa Kusina" every Sunday at GMA NewsTV..chef Boy Logro really entertains us..with his cooking style and techniques, all looks so easy and simple and jolly..and so is this dish i made...Ingredients for this simple caldereta: beef ribs;
pineapple
juice;
MAGGI “Magic Sarap” (optional); onions;
minced
garlic; tomato sauce;
liver
spread;
grated
cheddar cheese; medium potatoes; salt and
pepper to taste
In a pan, mixed beef, pineapple juice, onions and MAGGI “Magic
Sarap” and bring to a boil in medium to low heat. Simmer until beef is tender and
set aside. Meanwhile, sauté garlic and
onions until wilted then add in the beef together with the sauce and bring to a
boil for another few minutes. Add the tomato sauce, liver spread and cheese.
Continue simmering until sauce slightly thickens. Season with salt and pepper
to taste. And lastly, add fried potatoes.
